Transoral Incisionless Fundo (TIF)

Has anyone here had this procedure? I am working with a well-known General/Reflux Surgeon.**
- and he is offering either a Nissen OR a TIF. I am being told if the TIF does not work.**
- they can always go back and follow-up with a Nissen. His approach seems to be more conservative so that is why he is offering the TIF as well. I still have to do another 24 hr probe and manometry.**
- so maybe that will shed more light as to which procedure I need?

hi im 39 and in may my left leg started aching and giveing way and was numb and painfull if walked on it so could only get around by draging it behind me .**
- i carried on as thought it was a trap nerve then it started getting worse and my bladder packe up so i got admitted to hospitial and was seen by 2 neuroligists and one said tuma or m then guillian barrie syndrome then the 2nd neuroligist didnt agree as the teat i had didnt show much so he cant explain why i have no feeling down left side and can only get around with help of zimmer frame and wheelchair as get tired alot and have catherter in and are out of hosptial and been to see the neuroligist afterň weeks being home and still no further as still cant explain why this has happened and it makes me feel that im going mad but would not wish this on anybody as its not nice .**

Now.**
- Aunt X just passed away last month. She didn’t leave my family anything in her will.**
- and we didn’t expect her to. But she did leave my dad’s brother and his wife her entire estate.**
- which they well deserve.**
- because they took care of Aunt X and she lived with them after she couldn’t take care of herself (she was 101 when she died!).

The problem is.**
- someone in my dad’s family (his real aunt.**
- we’ll call her Aunt BB.**
- because she’s a real busybody!) found out Aunt X gave my dad some jewelry.**
- and she came to my mom and told my mom that Aunt X said she wanted that jewelry divided up between my dad’s kids and my uncle’s kids. My mom knows my dad specifically did NOT want to give my uncle’s kids any of the jewelry.**
- because though my uncle and aunt took care of Aunt X.**
- the kids never did anything for her and acted like the resented her living with them.

My mom is freaking out.**
- because she wants to honor my dad’s wishes and divide the jewelry between us and leave the cousins out of it. Aunt BB is calling my mom daily now.**
- asking about the jewelry and wanting to know what my mom is going to do with it. My mom doesn’t want to have to be the bad guy.**
- and she doesn’t want to be intimidated into giving up something my dad wanted.**
- but if she doesn’t do what Aunt BB wants.**
- Aunt BB will go and tell everyone else in the family and will spin it so it makes my mom look bad.**
- and then everyone else will be hard on her.

I personally could care less about the jewelry. I have plenty of money.**
- and never knew the jewelry even existed before last week. I don’t need it.**
- and I don’t want it. I told my mother this.**
- and she got mad at me and said it was my dad’s wish that I should have my share of it. I told her she could divide up my share amongst the other cousins.**
- so that they could take part in the jewelry.**
- but at the same time.**
- my siblings get the amount my father intended for them to have. I thought that would be a fair solution.**
- but instead.**
- my mom went off on a rant about how Aunt BB would be coming for all the other things that were my dad’s (given to him from her or her husband.**
- or her sister – his mom – or whomever) and that if he didn’t actually buy it himself.**
- she’d try to take it all.

I think this is a little extreme and paranoid sounding.**
- and I wonder if she might not be having just another crazy hormonal breakdown (she has one about once a month or so.**
- and has done ever since my father died). I just don’t know.**
- because I could care less about the jewelry.**
- so maybe I’m not seeing the problem clearly?

So I guess I would like to know 1 – how would you handle the extended family and 2 – who’s wishes would you honor and 3- what would you do if this were your mother???

what does it mean if you get your period twice in two weeks

i am a 19 yr old girl and im sexually active but always used protection. i got my period on the 30th Aug and it finished on 5th Sep. and on the 10 Sep.**
- when i woke up in the morning my whole body was paining and i had a cramps again and then later i noticed some spotting. im not sure if its my period or what. it seems very light. i have been pretty stressed out in the past few days. is this normal? or is something wrong? im really freaking out.
and my periods are irregular but i got my period since the past two months.

I have experienced minor chronic lower abdominal pain over the last couple of months. The number of times I need to empty my bowel have increased over the last couple of months.**
- as of now I need to do number two around 3-4 times a day.**
- and it seems like I can never empty my bowel.

Just recently.**
- I have experienced some narrowing of the stool. I also saw a small bump.**
- about 5 mm in width.**
- purple redish near the opening of my anus. It is slightly painful if I put pressure on it.

Could this be colon cancer? Now I’m only 21.**
- male.**
- otherwise healthy.

I am queuing up to see a doctor.**
- but not until next thursday.

I have been hypo for over twenty years due to RAI (Grave’s).**
- and lately things are getting messed up. Actually.**
- since the 2009 reformulation of Armour have I started feeling so damn awful. I bounced around with Westhroid.**
- back to Armour.**
- then Synthroid for awhile.**
- then back.**
- and now am on Acella. After being on Acella for 8 weeks.**
- here are my latest labs:

FT3 3.1 (2-4.4)
FT4 .96 (.82-1.77)
TSH .01
RT3 159 (90-350)
Vit D 61.8 (32-100)
B12 1000 (211-ᙲ)
Ferritin 46 (13-150)
Cholesterol 185
Folic Acid 19

So my FT3 is at barely 46%.**
- my FT4 is at less thanಔ%.**
- and my Ferritin isn’t optimal.

Would the best course of action be to
1. Increase from 3 grains Acella to 3.25 and retest later?
2. Take iron supplements and retest later? or
3. Wait it out and see if I adjust to the new meds. ALTHOUGH when I was on the reformulated Armour.**

i have been feeling loose ness in my both hands from 3 months onwards.i have gone to neurologist and he said go for MRI.

in MRI they have clearly mentioned that C-6 C-7 discs mild buldge .i have shown same to doctor .**
- he told that there is no need to worry and you are like as normal person.i felt happy that time but thing is that still iam feeling some loose ness in my hands and legs some times..

Doctor told me to go for exercises like walking and swimming.I have joined in a fitneess centre and doing daily walking and light wight lifting exercises.

can i do these exercises.
